The National Council on Aging announces a call for applications for state and community-based organizations (CBO) to participate in the 2019-20 Network Development Learning Collaborative (NDLC). This learning collaborative is supported with ACL funding.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is working with the Administration for Community Living through the National Quality Forum (NQF) to address quality measurement in person-centered planning.  As part of NQF’s ongoing effort to ensure full accessibility to the web-based meeting approach for this project, they are offering a webinar to assist participants to fully access the web meetings.

Studies indicate that 28 percent to 34 percent of people with dementia are socially isolated and live alone. With no one else living in the home to observe changes in the individual’s cognitive and functional abilities, the progressive decline associated with dementia may go unnoticed until an emergency occurs.
