LIVE With ACL Webinar: APS Final Rule Definitions and Coordination With State Medicaid Offices

November 21, 2024

Thursday, December 12, 2024 | 3:00-4:00 p.m. ET
Register for the webinar

On May 7, ACL published a final rule to establish the first-ever federal regulations for adult protective services (APS). The new regulations promote high-quality APS and will improve consistency in services across states. ACL aims to support the national network that delivers APS, with the ultimate goal of better meeting the needs of adults who experience, or are at risk of, maltreatment or self-neglect, including through robust technical assistance.

The next webinar in our "LIVE with ACL" technical assistance webinar series will cover the definitions sections of both the APS regulation and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Access Rule. The webinar will include a discussion of how state Medicaid units are implementing the CMS Access Rule and the opportunities this presents for APS programs.

We request that state APS programs submit questions on this topic during webinar registration to allow us to tailor the content of the webinar to the needs of participants.

Automated live captioning will be provided. For questions or additional accommodation requests, please contact Leslie.Mcgee@acl.hhs.gov.
