The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) Center on Holocaust Survivor Care and Institute on Aging and Trauma is hosting a webinar on end-of-life care for older adults with a history of trauma and their family caregivers.
This webinar will focus on how to incorporate person-centered, trauma-informed (PCTI) principles into end-of-life care. Developed by the Center, PCTI care is a holistic approach that infuses knowledge about trauma into agency programs and procedures to promote the well-being and empowerment of trauma survivors.
During this webinar, participants will:
- Learn PCTI methods for discussing end-of-life preparation with older adults with a history of trauma and their family caregivers.
- Learn about assisting older adults and family caregivers with end-of-life logistics and legal documents.
- Hear how family caregivers can empower older adults with a history of trauma when they are preparing end-of-life-related decisions.
Continuing education credit hours are available for this webinar. For questions, contact aging@jewishfederations.org.
Through a cooperative agreement with ACL, JFNA works to expand person-centered, trauma-informed (PCTI) services and supports for Holocaust survivors and other older adults with histories of trauma, and their family caregivers.
