Falls Prevention Awareness Month Is Here

September 3, 2026

Falls Prevention Awareness Month logo

Take Action This September

Throughout September, ACL and organizations across the country are raising awareness about how many falls can be prevented and promoting practical strategies that help older adults maintain their health, independence, and well-being. Evidence-based falls prevention programs and other community resources help older adults build strength and confidence, reduce their risk of falling, and support healthy aging.

To make it easier to participate, ACL’s webpage includes a toolkit with a new logo, social media graphics, sample social posts, and a sample article.

Help spread the word by sharing your activities and amplifying ACL's posts using #FallsPrevention.
